Lincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent K-12 Quaker girls’ school in Providence, Rhode Island. We are seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Math Department faculty member beginning in August 2023. The position entails teaching both Advanced Calculus I & II as well as 2-3 other high school math courses in the algebraic sequence. Lincoln School values working with a diverse faculty and staff and seeks applications from individuals who share our commitment to educating girls to fearlessly embrace the opportunities and responsibilities of full citizenship in a complex world.
The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of teaching experience, a student-centered teaching approach, and the confidence and skills to meet the needs of a variety of learners. A commitment to an all-girls environment, and the desire to inspire and engage young women in mathematics are essential. The successful candidate will be an active member of the Math Department team, bringing a strong commitment to Lincoln’s evolving STEAM program, and be flexible in response to student and school needs. Contributions to school life beyond the classroom are expected, as well as the ability to embrace and forward the Quaker mission of Lincoln School.
