Technology Support Specialist

Ursuline Academy, an independent Catholic school dedicated to the education of young women in grades 7-12, is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Technology Support Specialist to provide daily support for academic and administrative software applications, classroom technology, and end-user devices. Reporting to the Director of Technology, this position also assists with network servers, campus wireless systems, and other peripherals that support the school’s technology infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to customer service. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and provide effective support to a range of users, including students, faculty, staff, and parents.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and professional Helpdesk support for hardware, software, classroom technology, and digital signage.
  • Develop and deliver technology training and professional development for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Maintain internal documentation and resources, including how-to guides and tutorials.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to implement Ursuline’s technology plan and initiatives.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and administration.
  • Support network systems, including VOIP, Wi-Fi, and device monitoring.
  • Assist with campus security devices and applications.
  • Provide Audio/Visual support for school events during the day and occasionally on evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience providing technology support in an academic or professional setting.
  • Proficiency with:
    • Google Workspace for Education Plus, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Student Information Systems and educational software applications
    • Windows OS, macOS, and iOS
    • Laptops, desktops, iPads, interactive displays, and video conferencing systems
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting network systems.
  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred

  • Experience working in an independent school or higher education environment.
  • Audio/Visual support experience.
  • Google IT Support Certification or ISTE Certification.

Salary Range: $24 – $28/hour, commensurate with experience
