Position Overview:

Wellan Montessori School is seeking passionate summer staff to join our 2025 Summer Program team working with our Toddler and Preschool/Kindergarten students. This is a full-time, hourly position beginning on June 23, 2025 and concluding on August 15, 2025. There is also mandatory Orientation the week of June 16 – June 20. We ask that our summer team members commit to at least three full weeks of the program.

Responsibilities include: planning and overseeing age-appropriate activities for our play-based program including crafts and games, maintaining program spaces, supporting program logistics, and implementing health and safety protocols.

Successful candidates will be patient, well-organized, flexible, professional, and dependable; be able to function in a cooperative teaching environment; and be able to collaborate with other educators in our community to create an environment where children play, socialize, explore, and grow together.

Position Details:

• Full-Time Seasonal: 40 hours per week for duration of position
• Regular Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm with flexibility
• Minimum commitment of three full weeks of the program
• Hourly rate starting at $21 an hour
• Six Week Bonus: Staff that work 6 or more weeks at Wellan’s Summer Program will receive a $250 bonus.

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience working with young children.
• Experience planning summer activities including games, music, and crafts preferred.
• Letter of interest/cover letter, resume, and at least two references are required to be considered for this position.
