Position Title: Specialist; Sports and Games, Movement/Yoga/Karate, Science, or other specialties you can bring to our community!

Responsible to: Summer Program Director

Responsibilities:

• Attend mandatory staff training prior to the beginning of the summer program season (paid).
• Maintain the cleanliness of classroom and shared spaces.
• Develop weekly written plans for each session aligned with the theme and submit to Summer Program Director the Thursday before.
• Work with Summer Program Director to set budget and pre-order supplies.
• Partner with group staff to ensure they have a clear understanding of how the activity will run and their role (i.e., parallel play or assisting children directly)
• Inform Summer Program Director and/or Nurse of any child concerns.
• Model the Quaker testimonies:  integrity, equality, simplicity, community, stewardship, and peace.
• Maintain appropriate, healthy, and supportive boundaries with students and adults.
• Maintain lines of communication between colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned by Summer Program Director, including filling in as a Counselor and/or covering lunch breaks or recess.
• Collaborate with other Specialists and Summer Program Director for all campus activities.
• Attend summer program each day from 8:15 to 3:45 each day and staff meetings as determined by Summer Programs Director (one additional hour per week).
• Attend campus cleanup on August 18 (approximately 3:45 – 5:30 pm).
• Communicate time off requests or availability changes to Summer Program Director before start of program.

Dates of Employment: June 19, 2023 – August 18, 2023

Compensation:  $23 – $24 / hour
