The Advent School, located in the Beacon Hill section of Boston, Massachusetts, serves 200 students in pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. A mission-focused school founded in the principles of social justice, Advent has served the students and families of Boston since 1961. Through its Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, Advent’s faculty deliver authentic, rigorous, and experiential learning opportunities that encourage students to “learn with passion, act with courage, and change the world.”
The Advent School seeks substitute teachers for the 2022-23 school year. Substitute teachers provide support for the Advent student community at all grade levels and in all specialist classes. While experience in all teaching areas is not required, substitutes should be flexible and interested in supporting the learning of all students.
The substitute teacher position is a per diem position.
Responsibilities & Duties
Provide a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment for students.
Support instruction through delivering lessons, leading discussions with students, and supporting the duties of the daily position.
