Founded in 1866, Noble and Greenough School is a non-sectarian, rigorous academic community dedicated to student growth and self-discovery. Nobles inspires students to achieve their highest potential and to lead lives characterized by service to others. One of Nobles’ deepest values is “relationship before task”: we believe that excellence is built on community and connection. Nobles is committed to creating a learning environment that represents diversity of race, gender identities, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin, background, experience, and perspective. Doing so is intrinsic to our mission and improves the educational experience for all.
Nobles seeks an experienced teacher of Spanish for a full-time position to begin in late August 2024. The successful candidate will have native or near-native Spanish fluency, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience teaching various levels and abilities, and be committed to departmental collaboration and ongoing growth in their classroom practice and curricular development. A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree with an appropriate focus is preferred; experience teaching courses for heritage speakers is also desirable. The Noble and Greenough School looks for multifaceted educators who are eager to contribute significantly to the life of the school in at least one non-academic area (for example: athletics, community service, admissions, or performing arts) outside of their teaching. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic department whose members are passionate about teaching language and literature, encouraging curiosity and cultural competence, and fostering positive student-teacher relationships.
People of color, people with disabilities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, religious minorities, and members of other historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA.
