The Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center at Phillips Academy has an opening for an experienced RN for the evening shift.

The following is the schedule  

Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3:30p – 11:30p)

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3:30p – 11:30p)

Week 3: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3:30p – 11:30p) Saturday (7a-3:30p)

Week 4: Sunday(7a-3:30p) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3:30p – 11:30p)

This position is an academic year plus summer session.

General Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care for a diverse group of students in a school setting with both ambulatory care and extended care capacities.
  • Provides appropriate primary nursing care utilizing professional clinical nursing skills including assessment, care, referral, support and management of all students who come to the Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center.
  • Identifies, assesses, evaluates and provides nursing care for acute, chronic and episodic health conditions.
  • Provides urgent and emergency nursing care as a member of the Sykes Wellness Center Team

Requirements

  • A MA RN license in good standing.
  • BSN or higher level education preferred.
  • Current CPR/AED certification is required.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in adolescent medicine, school health, ambulatory care, urgent care/orthopedics or reproductive health care preferred.

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have strong assessment skills, be comfortable working independently, and enjoy working with the adolescent population.
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills are imperative.
  • Computer skills are required and experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.
  • Professional RN looking for a positive work environment and works collaboratively as part of a team.
