Upper School Digital Photo Instructor Job Description

Part Time Position

Brimmer and May, a private, Pre-K-12 school located in Chestnut Hill, MA is currently seeking a part time Upper School Digital Photography Instructor. The ideal candidate should be well versed in digital photography and project-based learning. Professional level editing skills and a solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Mac platforms are essential.

Classes meet Tuesday- Thursday between the hours of 8:00am and 12:40pm

Responsibilities:

• Teach one Upper School elective class in Digital Photography per semester.
• Maintain and secure photography equipment.
• Cooperate, innovate, and participate in a vigorous Pre-K – 12 Creative Arts department.
• Maintain and Replenish displays of student work online and in the halls.
• Prepare and submit student work for judging (Scholastic & SISAL competitions).
• Attend Department and Faculty Meetings as directed.

Qualifications:

BA required, advanced degree preferred. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years teaching and/or production experience. Candidates with experience in an academic setting are preferred. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor are essential.
