Winsor is currently seeking a 3/4-time Lower School History teacher beginning in the fall of 2023 to teach sections of our fifth-grade (early American) as well as sections of our sixth-grade (ancient civilizations), or seventh-grade (medieval world history) curriculum. Although this is a part-time position, we will entertain candidates with an interest in combining part-time teaching with another area of work needed by the School.  Strong candidates will have a degree in history or another relevant social science and, ideally, experience teaching middle school history or social studies. A commitment to diversity work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life, and an interest in using a variety of pedagogical approaches in the classroom are essential. Compelling candidates will demonstrate ongoing professional development in their field and the ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process.
