Operations Manager & Front Desk

Atrium School seeks an experienced, highly professional, and warmly inclusive Operations Manager & Front Desk leader who is systems-oriented, calmly efficient, and directs complex information flow throughout the school. From the Front Desk, the Operations Manager integrates multiple high-level and dynamic functions, and as a primary face of the school ensures crisp operations and a smoothly functioning community. 

Key functions include: 

  • Representing Atrium with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion in interpersonal, written, and phone communications, often on behalf of school leadership.
  • Supporting Atrium’s various school administrative functions while staffing the front desk; directing and greeting school visitors and receiving/processing deliveries.
  • Proactively offering executive assistant-style support to the Head of School and Assistant Head of School including scheduling, preparation of materials, and task delegation.
  • Successfully managing school-wide implementation of curriculum documentation systems, student information systems, admissions platforms and files, and general school databases.
  • Collaborating to build and maintain accurate school calendars, and writing & sending weekly key school communications.
  • Taking an ongoing role in organizing, communicating, and implementing emergency protocols. 
  • Tracking and organizing school reaccreditation implementation steps.
  • Directing annual cycles of ordering supplies and coordinating summer facilities tasks; coordinating the lunch program.
  • Assisting with basic health needs and first aid for students.

  • Being highly detail-oriented, with the ability to resolve complex problems quickly, creatively, and independently while managing concurrent tasks with bustling activity and noise nearby.
  • Initiative, flexibility, organization, and anticipation; patience, maturity, and humor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent computer skills with a variety of systems and databases.
  • Close collaboration with the afternoon Front Desk staff.
  • Five to seven years of successful experience in an office environment with diverse constituents.

This is a full-time, year-round position, to begin in the summer of 2024. Daily hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Atrium seeks candidates who add to the racial, cultural, and gender diversity of our school community. Salary based on experience; $55-57K range.
