Concord Academy, an independent, co-educational boarding and day school renowned for its world-class faculty, passionate students, and graduates who make their mark on the world, seeks to fill a full time opening for a French (all levels) and Latin or Spanish (lower levels) teacher in the Modern & Classical Languages department.

The school seeks an experienced teacher to offer instruction in support of a strong and well-established language department. The position will work with the other French teachers in the department to cover needed sections of French 1-3 and possibly, in the future, an advanced elective of the teacher’s design. The position will also be asked to support the Latin or Spanish program by offering a lower level section in one of those languages. The successful candidate will be an accomplished, fluent teacher of French and have Intermediate-High proficiency in Latin or Spanish, and be an innovative educator with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated organizational ability, and a passion and enthusiasm for working with adolescents and supporting them in acquiring and achieving a high level of proficiency in their chosen language(s). They will value and seek out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and engage with a diverse community. They will have a genuine enthusiasm for working with adolescents, curiosity about learning, a creative and open-minded approach to curriculum design and experimentation, and a commitment to professional and personal growth.
The school provides a competitive benefits package and salary is commensurate with experience. All faculty members at Concord Academy participate fully in the life of the school; responsibilities include advising, serving on committees and/or clubs, and periodically providing an adult presence at school events. Coaching an athletic team is welcomed but not required and is remunerated separately. On-campus housing may be available, but it is limited, and faculty members are not required to live at the school.
