We are looking for a Middle and Upper School World Language teacher who is confident in their teaching experience and able to
● teach French and/or Spanish classes to students in grades 6-12
● teach about world cultures with inclusive practices
● use authentic resources to design inspiring student activities and experiences
Our teachers
● engage in inquiry-based pedagogy, including project-based learning and other experiential approaches, and embed mindfulness practices into the classroom experience. Knowledge of these approaches is beneficial, and a willingness to develop them is essential
● differentiate classroom instruction to address varied learning profiles
● develop healthy, supportive relationships with students and their families
● are comfortable making decisions in the moment
● eagerly collaborate with RHCD community members
This teaching opportunity requires excellent strategies and skills in communication, collaboration, and organization with an appreciation for confidentiality, equity, belonging, and professional growth. Qualifications and requirements include
● a bachelor’s degree with a master’s preferred
● experience in the field
● the role of adviser to a small group of students (Middle or Upper School)
● an additional duty as assigned by the Division Head
