We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Science Teacher to work across multiple grade levels, teaching science Middle School students. This position requires a passion for hands-on, inquiry-based learning. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of scientific exploration while delivering age-appropriate instruction aligned with best practices and school standards.

Responsibilities

Middle School Science (Grades 5–8):

• Teach a comprehensive science curriculum that includes Astronomy, Earth Science, Biology, Human Physiology, and Physics.
• Develop and deliver inquiry-based lessons, labs, and projects that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs and learning styles of middle school students.
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and provide timely, meaningful feedback.

General Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth.
• Maintain well-organized science classrooms and labs, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, share best practices, and support interdisciplinary learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues regarding curriculum and student progress.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.

Stay current with best practices in science education and child development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching science.
• Strong content knowledge in Astronomy, Earth Science, Biology, Human Physiology, and Physics.
• Commitment to hands-on, inquiry-based science instruction.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
