Middle School Science – Maternity Leave 2023-2024 School Year
DESCRIPTION:
Oak Meadow School seeks an experienced science teacher to implement a middle school science curriculum as a full-year Maternity Leave position. The curriculum for this year will focus on three units of study: plant and animal biology, the human body system, as well as earth science. Additionally there is a weekly STEM course that explores a variety of topics. This position will involve collaboration with other areas of the school, with the following primary responsibilities:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach one science lab, three content classes, and one STEM class of mixed-age students (7th and 8th graders) per week
- Lunch and recess duties in the middle school when assigned
- Help with Middle School micro-economy businesses
- Work with Middle School team to implement NuVu program (STEM program) in the winter

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience working with teenagers preferred
- Teaching experience in the Sciences preferred
