Position Summary
Bancroft School seeks a Middle School Math Teacher to join our innovative team of educators beginning August 2024. The successful candidate will be an experienced, talented teacher looking for a position where passion and innovation are encouraged and supported.

Our Middle School includes students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. Faculty in the Middle School teach four to five classes, advise a group of 10-12 students, and work with students in activities and clubs. A willingness to collaborate with learning specialists in teaching students with language-based learning differences and developing an understanding of the philosophies that drive our Hope Graham Program are also essential. Ideal candidates will demonstrate an ability to successfully collaborate with colleagues across all disciplines.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Teach four to five sections of math across the Middle School
  • Collaborate with an advisory grade level team to plan grade level experiences
  • Participate in all aspects of Middle School life including advising, activities, clubs, and, if applicable, coaching

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math or Math Education, Master’s preferred
  • Three to five years teaching experience preferred
  • Experience in and enthusiasm for designing and implementing curriculum and inquiry-based learning
  • Proven ability to differentiate instruction

Essential Attitudes and Aptitudes

  • A collaborative spirit
  • A willingness to participate with enthusiasm in all aspects of the school community
  • An understanding of and love for Middle School students
