About the position: 

Shady Hill School is seeking two Middle School Boys Basketball Coaches for the 2025–2026 winter season. The season begins with practices on December 4, 2025, and concludes on February 5, 2026. Practices are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:15–5:00 PM. Games may be scheduled on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Coaches must be available at 2:20 PM on game days to travel with the team to away games.

Responsibilities: 

• Work collaboratively with a co-coach to plan practices and prepare for games
• Create a supportive and inclusive team environment where all student-athletes feel valued
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and colleagues

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience at the youth or high school level preferred
• Enthusiastic about working with middle school students
• Patient, encouraging, and committed to fostering confidence, resilience, and a love of learning through sport
• Committed to building and maintaining a positive team culture
  

This is a stipend-paid, seasonal position. The pay for this position is $2,542.12.
