
Mathematics Faculty Position
Tilton School, Tilton, NH
Tilton School seeks an energetic and innovative Mathematics teacher with a passion for developing student skills and understandings in alignment with Tilton’s Mastery Approach. The position includes teaching four or five sections that could include Algebra I, Algebra II Geometry, Statistics or Precalculus under the supervision of the STEAM Division Head. Candidates should have the ability to teach all content from Algebra through upper-level math courses. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate: · Outstanding skills in oral and written communication; · Ability to prepare course outline for each teaching assignment and use Google Classroom as a primary tool for communicating course work with students; · Ability to promptly access, evaluate, and provide feedback on student work according to the Standards Based Assessment and Reporting (SBAR) guidelines; · Expertise in the integration of technology into classroom instruction; · Familiarity with Universal Design and Learning (UDL) and Understanding by Design (UbD); · An eagerness to work in an intense, changing and supportive learning community. Applicant must be able to attend a week-long 1 St Year Faculty Workshop in early August Other duties for this position include: advising, participation as an athletic coach or activities leader for two seasons each year, active participation in our residential program including weeknight-weekend supervision and our Student Experience Block.
