The Marketing and Development Coordinator plays a vital role on Oliverian’s advancement and admissions team, which is responsible for securing the school’s future, ensuring that we can continue fulfilling our critical and inspiring mission for years to come. The Coordinator leads marketing efforts to enhance the school’s visibility and reputation, coordinates our fund-raising program, and supports admissions functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing and Development Coordinator will:
- Lead strategic marketing initiatives to engage key audiences across social media, the website, and other platforms, boosting Oliverian’s online presence and reputation
- Produce newsletters, e-blasts, and other communications to keep stakeholders informed about school activities
- Create compelling content that showcases the school’s mission, student achievements, and unique offerings
- Support admissions efforts by creating content for recruitment and outreach materials
- Coordinate fundraising efforts including annual fund, major gifts efforts, and wish list
- Manage ongoing communications with alumni, families, and other donors and spearhead donor appreciation and cultivation efforts
- Oversee virtual and in-person school, fundraising, and alumni events
- Maintain excellent record-keeping, ensuring updated the database of constituents
- Participate in the life of the school to build authentic relationships with staff, students, and parents
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in marketing, social media management, or public relations
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility, creativity, and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with technological platforms such as Salesforce, Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and content creation tools
- Prior experience in education or non-profit development is a plus
