Essential Skills and Abilities of a Pinkerton School Psychologist Services


● Provides individual and group counseling that promotes a successful student experience ● Consults with counselors and stakeholders to develop and provide services and recommendations for interventions ● Perform assessments, as requested, such as safety assessments and crisis management. ● Utilizes appropriate and available resources (technology, professional growth opportunities, collaboration) ● Communicates proactively with students and all other stakeholders regarding student progress ● Collaborates with associate deans to identify academic supports and behavioral interventions for students who need additional services to make adequate progress ● Engages in commitments beyond counseling/case management/consultation (crisis rotation, classroom delivery, peer supervision, participation in prevention services like suicide prevention, substance use/misuse, and mental health awareness, counselor awareness month, etc.)
