Library & Media Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Library and Media Specialist who will organize and maintain the CRS library, collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure that the library remains an integral component of the instructional program, and teach library and media classes to PreK-6th grade students. This is a fulltime position with a competitive salary and benefits package.


  • Design and implement a library and media curriculum for PreKindergarten through 6th grade; prepare for and instruct children in classes held weekly
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the selection, acquisition, evaluation, and organization of the physical and digital collection
  • Create a library environment that is conducive to active and participatory learning, resource-based instructional practices
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate curriculum
  • Assist in the creation of summer reading lists for all grade levels
  • Curate, maintain, and instruct students in the use of CRS’s research resources and databases


  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s in Library Science or Children’s Literature preferred
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Familiarity with Follett’s Destiny Resources Manager preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to community, equity, and inclusion in the creation and maintenance of a library collection and environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and impeccable follow-through
