Full-Time Learning Services/Special Education Teacher

St. Andrew’s School, located in Barrington, Rhode Island, is seeking a full-time special education teacher for middle and/or high school aged students. Teaching responsibilities include classes designed to support academics and executive functioning, literacy to support the development of reading and written expression, and building and using an advising curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates who are certified and who have experience with teaching and advocacy for students with learning differences, the production of individual learning plans, and an understanding of how diverse learning profiles impact learning. Candidates should be skilled and interested in co-teaching and collaboration. This job will also require participation in afternoon student life activities and weekend boarding program duties; opportunities for summer or evening program development may also be available.
