An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church, Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located on a 14.5 acre campus in downtown Medfield, 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from 50 towns and communities.
Montrose School seeks a part-time experienced teacher of Latin for the 2022-2023 school year. A successful candidate will bring a love of the classics, the Roman Empire and mythology to the classroom. Students begin the study of Latin in 8th grade continuing through AP Latin. We seek teachers who are committed to collaborating, reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. Candidates must also have proficiency and comfort with technology and delivering blended learning. Strong applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree is preferred, at least three years of classroom experience, and an appreciation for all-girls’ education.
