An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church, Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located on a 14.5 acre campus in downtown Medfield, 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from 50 towns and communities.

Montrose seeks an experienced full-time teacher of Latin to begin in August 2023. A successful candidate will bring their love of the classics, the Roman Empire and mythology to the classroom and their teaching.  Students begin the study of Latin in 8th grade continuing through AP Latin. We seek teachers who are committed to collaborating, reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. We will support AP certification over the summer, if needed. Strong applicants will have an advanced degree, at least three years of classroom experience, and an appreciation for an independent school environment and an all-girls’ education. Our teachers are mentors to individual students and club leaders, with some engaged in coaching.
