Position: Head Coach for JV Lacrosse
Location: Newton Country Day School, Newton, MA
Season: Spring 2026 (early March to mid-May)

Position Summary
Newton Country Day School seeks a passionate and organized JV Lacrosse Head Coach to lead the team during the spring 2026 season. The coach will be responsible for planning practices, developing players, and building a competitive, inclusive team culture that reflects the mission of Sacred Heart education and Falcon Athletics.

Position Requirements:

• Lead all aspects of JV lacrosse practices and games with a focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship, in alignment with the lacrosse program from Varsity to Middle School.
• Mentor student-athletes of varying skill levels, encouraging courage and confidence, discipline, and growth.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletics Department.
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to drive school vehicles for practices and competitions.
• Uphold and model the values of Sacred Heart education and the mission of Falcon Athletics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.
• Complete other related duties as requested by the Director of Athletics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience playing or coaching lacrosse (high school or collegiate level preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications (or willingness to complete prior to the season).
• CORI background check and fingerprinting required.
