Annual Salary Range: $49,996 – $75,000

Chapel Hill – Chauncy Hall School, Waltham, MA

The Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School is seeking a creative, progressively minded, and hard-working professional to teach Middle School Humanities and Upper School English beginning in the 2026-27 school year. As a school that embraces Multiple Intelligences philosophy, we seek teachers who work diligently to reach all learners and believe, as we do, that it is not “how smart you are” but rather “how you are smart.” This position involves teaching two sections of Middle School Humanities and two sections of Upper School English (grade level to be determined) with an average of 12 students per class, as well as working in our co-curricular program.

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • A creative and progressive approach to teaching and learning
  • Well-developed ability to work hard and have fun
  • A working understanding of Multiple Intelligences philosophy and Differentiated Instruction pedagogy
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Prior teaching experience in the humanities
  • An academic background, and preferably a major, in the humanities
  • Ability to contribute positively to our co-curricular program; particular consideration will be given to athletic coaching and/or technical theater experience
