Montrose seeks an experienced teacher of history to join our professional learning community to teach middle and upper school courses, starting in August 2025. The ideal candidates for this position will possess exceptional intellectual curiosity and skill to lead students in investigating primary texts as well as experience with project-based learning. Teachers at Montrose model an inquiry-based classroom and are adept at the teaching and development of critical reading and analytical writing skills while working in a robust collegial liberal arts environment that appreciates the value of an all-girls’ education. We seek teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to guide students in strong academic habits and are committed to collaborating, reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. Strong applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, with at least three years teaching experience and a master’s degree is preferred. Our teachers are mentors to individual students and club leaders.
