Montrose School, Medfield, MA

An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church, Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located on a 14.5 acre campus in downtown Medfield, 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from 50 towns and communities.

 

Montrose seeks experienced history teachers for middle and upper school courses, including preference for AP experience, starting in August 2023. The ideal candidates for these positions possess exceptional intellectual curiosity and skill to lead seminars investigating primary texts as well as experience with project-based learning. Teachers at Montrose model an inquiry-based classroom and are adept at the teaching and development of critical reading and analytical writing skills while working in a robust collegial liberal arts environment that appreciates the value of an all-girls’ education. Strong applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, with at least three years teaching experience and a master’s degree preferred. Our teachers are mentors to individual students and club leaders, with some engaged in coaching.
