The Meadowbrook School of Weston, a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Weston, MA, seven miles west of Boston, is seeking a fourth grade educator to join our faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. Meadowbrook is a mission-driven school and we invite candidates to familiarize themselves with our mission before applying for the position. We are committed to offering students a well-rounded, rigorous education and our program challenges students beyond their grade level, particularly in reading and in math.

We seek an educator with a demonstrated background and or interest in cultural competency, curriculum development, and technology integration. We prefer that teachers have experience and understanding of Reading and Writing Workshop, Singapore Math, and the teaching of social studies. Candidates should also have an understanding of the social emotional development of fourth graders. This is a co-teaching position and candidates should demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with students, colleagues, and families, flexibility, and collegiality in promoting a healthy and stimulating relationship.

Meadowbrook’s lower school faculty is a group of dynamic and motivated teachers who are passionate and intentional about teaching lower school students. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in early childhood education or elementary education or related field
  • At least two years teaching experience in grades 2-5.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team/co-teaching environment
  • Reading and Writing Workshop and Singapore Math (preferred)
  • Trained in Responsive Classroom (preferred)
  • Experience with managing performance-based groups for reading and math (preferred)

Annual salary for faculty is determined according to a step scale commensurate with experience.
