Girls Middle School Lacrosse Coach (AY23-24)

Reports to: Director of Athletics
BB&N is seeking a Girls Lacrosse coach for the MS (Grades 6-8) Athletic Program. The position will report to the Director of Athletics and work closely with the Associate Director of Athletics for the 6-8 program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: practice planning, game oversight, mentoring and instructing middle school-age players in skill development, character development, and teamwork. Commitment to the support and development of those students with an ability and/or desire to compete at the high school level is important. The expectation for coaches is to operate within the athletic philosophy of BB&N and adhere to the BB&N coaches’ manual.

In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Desire to work with middle school students
Commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Pre-season coaches meeting on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024
Season begins on March 4th and ends on May 21st
Practice begins from 2:30 to 3:45 pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
1 to 2 Games a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
No practices during spring break, March 9th – March 24th. Practice resumes on March 25th
No weekend commitments
At BB&N a Girls Middle School Lacrosse coach normally earns a season-long stipend of $3,000.00.
