Job Title: First Grade Class Teacher 2024-2025

Summary: The First Grade Teacher at Waldorf School Moraine Farm plays a central role in the early education of students, providing a foundation for lifelong learning. This position involves creating a warm and inclusive classroom, implementing curriculum, and nurturing each child’s individual growth and development.

Overview of Position: Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is seeking an experienced, Waldorf-trained teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. 

This position requires a deep understanding and grounding in the foundations of Waldorf education and the ability to bring the curriculum in support of each child, their families, and the entire class.

Responsibilities include curriculum development and instruction, classroom management and creating a healthy class community, practical and artistic activities, family communication, community involvement, and serving the school through committee work.

Position Details: This is a full-time salaried position. Benefits include:

  • $38K – $48K based on experience
  • Health insurance, a retirement package, and ongoing professional development.
  • Tuition remission

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 1 – 2 years of previous relevant classroom experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have completed, or be willing to complete Waldorf Certification or some Waldorf training
  • Teaching experience in a Waldorf school
