Nobles seeks multifaceted educators who will contribute significantly to the life of the school in at least one non-academic area (e.g., athletics, community service, admission, or performing arts) outside of the responsibilities of this position.
Position Summary
Nobles seeks a full-time, experienced English teacher for a one-year leave replacement, to begin in late August 2026. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic department whose members are passionate about teaching English, working collaboratively, and developing positive student-teacher relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach four sections of high school English
- Attend faculty, department, and course team meetings
- Commit to ongoing growth in classroom practice and curricular development.
- Contribute to the life of the school in at least one non-academic area (e.g., athletics, community service, admissions, or performing arts).
- Complete two chaperone duties per year.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience.
- Experience teaching English in a rigorous academic environment, preferably at the secondary school level.
- A demonstrated interest in working with young people.
