Meadowbrook is seeking its next Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement. Reporting to the Director of Development, this full-time position will help advance the mission of Meadowbrook by planning and leading all parent, alumni, and grandparent engagement, Advancement events, and volunteer management efforts.

The Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement is a natural relationship-builder with strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and planning skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands that executing a range of joyful, community-building events and fostering a robust, diverse, and committed team of volunteers are integral to achieving the goals of the Advancement Office and the School.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Event Management:

  • Plan, manage, and execute all Advancement and select school-wide events including Fall Fest,Grandparents and Special Friends Day, The Meadowbrook Fund Kick-Off, 9th and 12th-grade Alumni Class Reunions, and Spring Social, among others.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of event-related expenses and the timely submission/execution of volunteer reimbursement and vendor contracts.
  • Work collaboratively and respectfully with campus partners to ensure the successful and effective execution of the event calendar

Volunteer Management:

  • Serve as primary liaison for Parent Association Co-Chairs, working with them to increase communication, volunteerism, and partnership between parents and the school.
  • Recruit and build strong working relationships with a robust group of parent volunteers, leveraging Parent Association Co-Chairs, Committee Chairs, and Room Volunteers.
  • Partner with the Director of Development to increase alumni touchpoints with the school, including the recruitment and cultivation of class volunteers, that strengthen our graduates’ lifelong connection with Meadowbrook.


  • Partner with the Director of Development to develop and execute a comprehensive stewardship strategy.
  • Develop creative ideas for stewarding individual donors as well as recognition events and gifts to thank and cultivate current and former benefactors to Meadowbrook including top volunteers, the Bridges Society, and Trustee Circle.


Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of Meadowbrook’s mission, culture, and values.
  • Ability to establish credibility and confidence with both internal and external community members.
  • Ability to work independently and see a given project through from start to finish.
  • Must have exceptional collaboration and interpersonal abilities as well as excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate change, learn new skills, and stay flexible in dynamic conditions.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years of event and volunteer management experience, ideally in an educational setting.  Some night and weekend work, as required.
