Director of Admissions and Advancement
The Center School, Greenfield, MA
The Center School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Admissions and Advancement (DAA) to join our team. Reporting to the Co-Heads of School, the DAA will lead the admissions and advancement operations, guiding the school in achieving its enrollment and fundraising goals, while supporting its mission.

Position Type: Full-time, 12-month contract

Salary: $60,000 FTE (Prorated for 2024-2025)

Key Responsibilities:
Admissions:
-
Develop and implement an admissions process, calendar, and recruitment strategies aligned with the school’s mission.

Manage the inquiry-to-enrollment process using Ravenna/BigSis.

Oversee all admissions events, including open houses, tours, and visit days.

Serve on the admissions committee, reviewing applications and making recommendations.

Collaborate to create an inclusive and equitable admissions process for diverse applicants.

Provide admissions data, statistics, and reports to school leadership.
Advancement:

Establish and execute a comprehensive development plan, including fundraising initiatives such as Annual Fund, capital campaigns, and planned giving.

Cultivate relationships with donors, prospective families, and the wider Pioneer Valley community.

Manage donor databases, records, and prepare solicitation materials.

Work closely with the Co-Heads of School and Board of Directors on strategic advancement initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:

Support the front office as needed and participate actively in school events.

Other duties as assigned by the Co-Heads of School.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum two years of admissions experience (associate or assistant director level).

Prior experience in fundraising, development, or independent school advancement.

Knowledge of independent schools and familiarity with admissions software (Ravenna/BigSis).

Proficiency in Google Suite, MailerLite, Squarespace, and social media for school communications.

Ability to work evenings and weekends for admissions and advancement events.
