Job Summary:
The Rashi School, Greater Boston’s Reform Jewish Independent School, serving students in grades Pre-K-8, seeks a Dean of Support Services for the 2025-2026 school year. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Academic Operations, the Dean of Support Services oversees the Learning Team and support services PK-8. Rashi’s Lower School uses a collaborative teaching model to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional growth by nurturing an environment that promotes risk taking, flexibility, adaptability, empathy, and resilience through collaborative teaching which models behaviors of the adults. Rashi’s Middle School seeks to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional growth by nurturing an environment that promotes risk taking, flexibility, adaptability, empathy, and resilience. We are looking for educators with a history of positive, caring student-teacher interactions, rich content expertise, and student-centered approaches to join a team of exceptional faculty who utilize a strength based approach to empower students to be their best selves in and out of the classroom. We seek to employ faculty and staff with diverse backgrounds who model our core values (respect, learning, community, spirit, and justice) for our students and are eager to support Rashi in fulfilling its mission.
This is a ten month position with occasional flexible summer availability required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise Learning Specialists and School Social Worker
- Maintain a list of students who are currently on an IEP, 504 Plan, or have outside testing
- Coordinate and chair Learning Team Meetings
- Coordinate and chair families meetings
- Attend Grade Level Meetings PK-8
- Write and manage Learning Plans
- Oversee the relationship between the school and Gateways: Access to Jewish Education
- Participate in Admissions Screenings
- Support a caseload of students as deemed appropriate

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 to 7 years experience teaching in an elementary or middle school setting
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand, type, twist, bend
- Able to use telephone and computers
- Able to lift 10-15 lbs.
