Summary:  The Database Manager supports the mission of Tabor Academy by being an integral part of managing and maintaining all school related databases. They will oversee the collection of data and integration with all core systems to help create a unified system where all data flows between systems. This position is directly responsible for the cohesive management of all Blackbaud systems (Education Management & Raiser’s Edge/RE NXT); and other related database platforms.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented who possesses a strong work ethic. Candidate should possess a high degree of interpersonal skills, strict attention-to-detail, excellent written and oral communication skills and be an excellent representative of the Tabor Academy community.

Reports to:  Director of Technology

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity and accuracy of the Blackbaud Education Management system
  • Assists with the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity and accuracy of the Raiser’s Edge/RE NXT constituent database management system
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity and accuracy of the REACH Boarding system
  • Share responsibility with technology department of managing the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity and accuracy of Active Directory/AZURE for local network accounts
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, data input, data integrity and accuracy of BrightArrow for emergency communication
  • Develop and implement data entry policies and procedures and maintain regular system checks to ensure accuracy
  • Perform quarterly reviews of security & permissions
  • Work cooperatively with technology department to assist with training and provide access to tools necessary for them to complete their duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Requirements:

  • Technology & Computer Skills – Computer proficiency with advanced MS Office skills, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Blackbaud products. Ability to learn and become proficient with other proprietary and non-proprietary software programs as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities
  • Willingness to work some weekend/evening hours, as required

Timing:

This is a full-time, year-round, benefit-eligible, exempt position and an immediate opening.
