Through its core programs, Nantucket New School (NNS) and Strong Wings, NPC provides high-quality education, youth development, and family support services that strengthentheisland community.

The Nantucket Partnership for Children (NPC) provides exceptional educational programs, which address the social-emotional, physical, and academic needs of the whole child. Focus is on experiential learning, which fosters not only knowledge and skills, but also a child’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence. NPC’s programming empowers every child to discover their full potential as well as understand their responsibilities as members of the greater community.
The Role: NPC seeks a dynamic and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next chapter. This is a unique opportunity to guide a multi-program nonprofit that blends education, community engagement, and family services in a close-knit, highly engaged island community.
The CEO will partner closely with the Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to advance NPC’s mission, ensure operational excellence, and position the organization for long-term sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise senior leaders, including the COO/CFO, Executive Director of StrongWings, and the leader of Nantucket New School
Oversee day-to-day operations across NPC, including Nantucket NewSchool and Strong Wings
Partner with the CFO and Board to ensure strong financial stewardship, budgeting, and reporting
Lead the development and execution of NPC’s strategic plan in partnership with the Board
Manage employer-owned housing operations and related agreements
Build and sustain relationships with families, community partners, local organizations, and government stakeholders
Oversee marketing, communications, and community engagement strategies
Foster collaboration across programs to maximize impact for children and families
Provide oversight of organizational technology and information systems
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of senior leadership experience in nonprofit, education, or related field
Demonstrated success in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and team management
Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing budgets and fundraising efforts
Track record of building relationships with boards, donors, and community stakeholders
Experience in education or youth-serving organizations strongly preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
