About You

To be successful in this role, you must be able to:

  • Work as an integral member with the Director of Operations, afterschool, and camp leadership teams
  • Coordinate the day-to-day details of campus programs
  • Interact with parents, students, and visitors to deliver smooth operations and top-rate customer service
  • Manage the summer camp database and ensure information is accurate, updated, and complete
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training seasonal staff (afterschool, summer camp, etc.)
  • Prepare and submit reports in a timely fashion with accuracy, thoroughness, and minimal supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality as it relates to campers/staff information
  • Adhere to and support all School and camp policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Respond effectively to all situations, including emergency responses and those requiring first aid
  • Supervise camp and afterschool staff, as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, leadership, or related field required
  • At least three years of program management, summer camp, and/or afterschool program experience
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team and handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, editing)
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Effective time management, operational, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and customer service
  • Ability to make sound administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive, confidential issues
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of CampMinder highly desirable
  • Willingness to learn and implement other technologies and platforms
  • Effectively interact with colleagues, faculty, staff, administration, students, parents, and other community members.
  • History of sound decision making on time-sensitive, confidential issuesAvailability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include assignments outside regular working hours, including early mornings, late afternoons/evenings, and weekends
  • Willingness to create and contribute to an engaging and inclusive campus environment and workplace
  • Maintain a current and valid driver’s license
