Northfield Mount Hermon seeks a dynamic and vibrant individual to lead the Boys Varsity Ice Hockey program at NMH. This position begins in the fall of 2023. While the competitive season runs Nov. 1st thru mid-March, responsibilities will start immediately assisting the admissions office in identifying and enrolling prospective student athletes. This process of recruitment could include some travel for the Head Coach.

The successful applicant will have at least a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and will be proficient in ice hockey tactics and strategy and their ability to intentionally build a positive and inclusive team culture. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience which should include playing and/or coaching at the secondary or collegiate level. The Head Varsity Boys Ice Hockey Coach could participate in and take on other duties and responsibilities, if appropriate.

The candidate will be responsible for leading all recruitment efforts of prospective student athletes as well as support throughout the college process for current students. Additional qualifications include strong listening skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and experience in DEI work with a clear understanding of anti-racist education.
