Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

Job Summary:
The Auxiliary Associate Director at an independent school plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the school’s auxiliary programs. This role is a hybrid position that encompasses key responsibilities related to the assistant director of Summer@BB&N program, as well as managing the rental of the school’s facilities to external groups. This position is based out of the Upper School Campus but will sit at the Middle School on certain days to provide coverage during the day to welcome students and families as they enter and exit the building.
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a blend of strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage and enhance both the summer camp program and school facility rental operations. In addition, they will have many of the following:

Leadership and Supervision:

Ability to lead and manage a diverse team, including camp counselors, coordinators, and other staff.

Proven experience in training, motivating, and supporting staff to ensure effective program delivery and adherence to safety protocols.

Ability to manage both a large-scale summer camp program and multiple facility rental events simultaneously.

Organizational and Time Management:

Strong organizational skills to coordinate complex schedules, events, and tasks across both the summer camp and facility rental operations.

Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.

Capacity to handle logistical aspects of both long-term programs (summer camp) and short-term facility rentals.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with camp participants, parents, school staff, and external clients.

Ability to provide clear, timely, and professional communication for both internal and external stakeholders.

Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients renting school facilities.

Budgeting and Financial Management:

Competence in budgeting, tracking, and managing the financial aspects of the summer camp program and facility rentals.

Ability to monitor and report on program expenses, ensuring the efficient use of resources and staying within budget.

Problem Solving and Decision Making:

Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during the summer camp or facility rental operations, such as staffing challenges, facility issues, or unforeseen disruptions.

Ability to make quick, sound decisions while balancing the needs of the school and the clients, all while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor under pressure.

Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including last-minute event changes, unexpected issues, or shifts in scheduling.
