Job Summary
The Associate Director of Residential Life (ADRL) leads the MHS residential program in collaboration with the Dean of Student Life, fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for Miss Hall’s School boarding students. This mission-driven educator supports students’ holistic development through training, programming, and curriculum, emphasizing the School’s Core Competencies. The role primarily involves afternoon and evening hours, with occasional late-night responsibilities, and requires living on campus to support the 24/7 nature of a boarding school community. This is a full-time, 10-month position with designated summer duties to prepare for the academic year. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Dean of Student Life to craft vision, build alignment, and develop and deliver student life programs and initiatives, in support of the student body
- Supervise the Residential Life team
- Coordinate Resident duty assignments and coverage schedules
- In concert with the Dean of Student Life, review, update, and implement procedures and policies
- Oversee the Proctor program and lead the Proctor Advising Team
- Serve as School Travel Officer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant experiences required
- 3+ years of experience in a school environment or educational organization, with proven success developing and leading programming for a diverse student body
- Experience in boarding school or residential program as resident/live-on staff preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion and to serving a diverse, global community
