Associate Director of College Counseling

Phillips Academy seeks a full-time, continuing Associate Director of College Counseling to begin no later than August of 2022. This is a 12-month, full-time administrative faculty position. Throughout the academic year, evening and weekend work is required. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, dynamic, and articulate team player; have strong organizational, writing, and public speaking skills; and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include counseling and supporting students in the college selection and application process, working with students individually and in small groups, building relationships with parents, writing recommendations, providing feedback on applicants’ essays, advising students on course selection, taking part in professional development, and other projects and activities as assigned by the Director.
We seek candidates who will be active participants in the community to join our robust team of thirteen experienced and diverse counselors. Collaboration and teamwork are cornerstones of the CCO team. Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of 5-7 years of combined experience in college counseling and/or selective college admissions, with an emphasis on college counseling, is preferred.
