The Williston Northampton School, an independent co-educational boarding and day school in Easthampton, Massachusetts, is a culturally diverse educational community serving grades 7-12. We are seeking to hire a full-time Associate Director of Admission & Financial Aid for the 2023-24 school year. Strong candidates will have five years of experience in a similar position within an independent school Admission Office, with significant financial aid experience. Candidates will need to travel, on behalf of Williston for student recruitment and Admission events. The essential functions of this role will include, but are not limited to: Assisting with the evaluation and auditing of financial aid applications for both returning and prospective new families; Participation as a member of the Financial Aid Committee; Communicating with existing and prospective families in regard to financial assistance awards and any appeals or adjustments to existing awards; Meeting with and interviewing prospective students and their families during their visit to campus.

Candidates will possess sound interview skills and a poised capacity for public speaking in representing the school. Preference will be given to candidates who hold strong existing relationships with educational consultants and secondary school placement directors at feeder schools, domestically and internationally. This position includes involvement with our afternoon athletics and extracurricular activities as well as student advising. Living on campus and working in the School’s residential life program may also be an option with this position. Driving a school minibus is also an expectation of this position. Candidates must be able to successfully complete the state mandated CORI, as well as SORI and a general background check as well as a fingerprint based criminal background check. It is important that candidates possess the flexibility, energy, commitment to teamwork, and appreciation for adolescents that life in an independent school boarding community requires.
