Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management is a 12-month, non-exempt position that supports all functions of Pre-K through Grade 9 enrollment management. Primary responsibilities include welcoming prospective families and students to Shore and educating them about the school’s programs, people, and community; data entry and file management; and supporting all admissions and enrollment activities, events, and processes. Candidates must possess exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills and have relevant experience. The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management is an integral member of the Institutional Advancement team, which includes admissions and enrollment management, fundraising and alumni relations, and marketing and communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team of professionals in the Institutional Advancement office and a vibrant school community at Shore.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of admissions and/or enrollment management experience, or equivalent
- Understanding of and familiarity with the elementary and middle school environment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary contact for all prospective families by phone, email, and in person; provide excellent individualized, sincere, and timely customer service in all interactions and correspondence from point of inquiry through enrollment
- Support Shore’s commitment to ensuring an admissions and enrollment experience grounded in equity and inclusion best practices
- Greet prospective families and maintain a warm and welcoming presence
- Work closely and correspond with prospective and current families on a variety of aspects of the admissions and re-enrollment process including tours, scheduling assessments, and other visits and meetings as necessary
- Represent Shore at off-campus events as needed
- Partner with the Director of Enrollment Management to coordinate Student and Family Ambassador programs and recruit a diverse group of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds
- Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Management and Institutional Advancement colleagues on creative strategies to drive prospective family interest, generate affinity, retain current families, and inspire engagement
- Assist in the planning and implementation of in person and virtual admissions events, including open houses, revisit days, and other events, that demonstrate best practice in equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Manage a caseload of admissions candidates from the inquiry stage through enrollment
- Maintain and organize applicant files; follow up as needed to complete files
- Maintain Office appointment calendar, supplies, and materials
- Conduct internal communications around events, campus visitors and enrollment updates as needed
- Prepare mailings, communications, admissions materials, and reports
- Enter data and possess a solid working knowledge of the Blackbaud Enrollment Management System
- Coordinate with current family volunteers, faculty, staff, and students to organize, plan, and support prospective student visits and assessments
- Coordinate and participate in Admission Committee meetings in assessment of applications
- Support the Director of Enrollment Management with recruitment, marketing, communications, retention, yield etc. strategies and initiatives
- Serve as an integral community member and participate fully in daily life at Shore
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong technology skills, including Google applications, Word, Excel, and ability to learn new platforms
- Proficiency in the school’s Blackbaud K – 12 student enrollment management and admissions CRM system and database
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, as well as an ability to balance competing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Energetic team player with a customer service and positive, can-do mentality, sense of humor, and a proven ability to work in collaboration within cross-functional partnerships
- Ability to manage own workflow and tasks and independently manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise a high degree of professional judgment, discretion and confidentiality
- Possess a valid drivers license
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Ability to conduct walking tours of campus
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, both on-campus and regionally
