The Derryfield School, located in Manchester, NH, is a coeducational, independent day school serving grades 6-12, and is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Athletic Director to start July 1, 2023. 

The Assistant Athletic Director will collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop curriculum and build programming that will serve all levels of athletes and is a model for other schools. The person will need to be a proactive self-starter who functions in an independent manner and takes full ownership of the program, working tenaciously toward its development. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technology skills; strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; a desire to work collaboratively; demonstrated initiative and ability to independently develop, evaluate and lead state-of-the-art innovative programs; and willingness to jump in and help out where needed. 

Typical Responsibilities include:(Not intended to be a complete list):

• Assist
  • with scheduling and rescheduling of games and practices.
  • in responding to parents, athletes and community members. 
  • with field set up for practices and games.
• Manage uniform and equipment distribution, inventory, storage, cleaning  of all School Team uniforms and equipment from coaches and students.
• Coordinates and supervises the strength and conditioning program.
• Lead social media coordinator for the athletic department.
• Oversee a portion of the athletic operations.
  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Upper School or Middle School advisor.

• Coach one or more seasons per year (TBD).
• Participates on the Curriculum Committee for the Athletic Department when the AD can not attend
