AP English and Humanities Faculty

Waterville Valley Academy is seeking an English and Humanities educator to join the staff of our small and innovative snowsports academy to support, guide, and educate our motivated student-athletes by teaching a primarily Advanced Placement curriculum for sections of AP English and 9th/10th grade Humanities.

WVA is a NEASC-accredited 9-12th boarding and day school for high-level snowsports student-athletes with lofty goals as students and also in the sports of alpine ski racing, freeskiing (slopestyle, Big Air, and Halfpipe), and freestyle skiing (moguls). Graduating seniors from WVA have regularly been admitted to and attended the most selective colleges and universities in the US, and the extraordinary outcomes of our students are reflective of their effort, seriousness of purpose, and grit.

The individual that we seek will be prepared to teach small classes (3-8 students) in sections of AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, World Geography, and other courses as needed. WVA follows a more-or-less traditional school calendar, with a modified daily schedule to allow for on-snow training and competitions.
