After School Teacher – Part Time

Position Overview
Wellan Montessori School is seeking educators to support our after school programs in a part time capacity. Openings are for our Beginners program and Upper Elementary (Grades 4 – 8) division. Positions are available beginning immediately, with the ability to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday from 3:00pm – 6:00pm during the school year. This is a great opportunity for college students majoring in education.
Responsibilities include: planning age appropriate curriculum and activities, maintaining classroom spaces, and implementing strict health and safety protocols. These teachers must excel at taking shared responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for children.
Successful candidates will be patient, well organized, flexible, professional, and dependable; have strong classroom management skills; be able to function in a cooperative teaching environment; and be able to collaborate with other educators in our community to create an environment where children learn, socialize, explore, and grow together.
Position Details
- Part Time: 3:00pm – 6:00pm shifts available Monday through Friday.
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working with children is required.
- Letter of interest/cover letter, resume, and at least two references are required to be considered for this position.
