
Advancement Assistant and Event Coordinator

Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Advancement Assistant will join Concord Academy during its Centennial year, a time of great activity and opportunity for the school. This role will provide critical support to the Advancement and Engagement team, performing a variety of complex administrative and project activities. This individual appreciates the interconnections across the department’s functions which include: annual fundraising, major gift fundraising, volunteer partnerships, events, and wide-ranging programming for alums, parents, and students.
The Advancement Assistant must demonstrate outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail; the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally; initiative and willingness to develop new skills; and an ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines. This individual asks questions, has good judgment, is accountable for their actions, and follows through. The position requires a strong customer service orientation and welcomes frequent interaction with colleagues, alums, parents, and donors. The ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion is required. This individual has a desire to work as part of a team with an all hands-on deck approach, and maintains a “no job is too big or small” philosophy.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, direct experience will be considered;

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required;
-
2+ years of experience in administrative support role(s) and/or related experience is required;

Education beyond high school may count toward experience;
-
Advanced knowledge of Google suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and facility with learning new software/databases;

Proficient in Raiser’s Edge (or another comparable database) and working knowledge of queries and reporting function;

Excellent communication skills; with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to detail critical.
