Milton Academy seeks an Administrative Coordinator for the Upper School Dean’s Office.

The administrative coordinator provides pivotal support to the Deans’ office.  Primarily coordinating the work of the Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, and the Academic Dean, and the Dean of Teaching and Learning, the administrative coordinator is a critical link to the rest of the school.  The administrative coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the office, as well as being a resource to other departments in the planning and implementation of a series of events.  The administrative coordinator will maintain a professional environment in the outer office and has direct and significant interaction with students, parents, faculty, and staff.

The administrative coordinator will be the central liaison between the Deans’ office and other school offices for the purpose of coordinating critical functions for the Dean of Students, the Associate Dean of Students, the Academic Dean and the Director of Residential Life. They will also manage daily attendance for upper school students, provide general administrative support, oversee and execute the Deans’ summer mailing for all upper school students, coordinate all updates and edits of the student handbook, create, compose, and edit written materials for formal correspondence and inter office documents, and serve as a first line resource in resolving questions and concerns for students and parents. Other tasks include providing support to upper school events and managing the budgets for the office of the Academic Dean and Dean of Students, including Residential Life.

A qualified candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least two years of administrative experience and one year experience of managing budgets. Extensive experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required.  Candidates must have the ability to be flexible and work collaboratively and will prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast paced work environment.  They must also have the ability to solve problems independently and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
